Hello,
I'm Carrie Ibbetson RDH.
With over 30 years in the dental field, I bridge the gap between traditional dentistry and real oral health healing at home. My journey has taken me from working as a dental assistant, front office coordinator, and dental hygienist to becoming a dedicated oral health coach. This experience has given me a broad perspective on what truly works and what often gets missed in traditional care settings.
A Wanderer with a Purpose
I began as a dental assistant, learning the restorative side of dentistry firsthand by working with amazing dentists and learning from their expertise. My curiosity and passion for travel led me to work in different practices, experiencing various styles of care and deepening my understanding of what it means to provide quality oral health support. Working as a temporary fill-in hygienist across numerous offices gave me a broad understanding of different dental approaches. My experience as a "gypsy hygienist and assistant" allowed me to travel and explore different aspects of dental care, inspiring me to help families avoid frustrations in their dental journey by focusing on simple, effective, and supportive at-home strategies.
Finding My Passion for Real Change
An eye-opening experience at a dental office gave me a true sense of purpose: to empower patients with knowledge and preventative care. I witnessed firsthand the power of dentistry that looked beyond just fixing issues—it aimed at genuine, preventative health. The dentist I worked with was all about patient education and using the latest tools to ensure patients understood not only what was being done, but why. We worked together to put patients in the driver's seat of their care, and that’s when my focus shifted.
I knew then that people needed more than just cleanings—they needed empowerment. They needed the right tools, the right guidance, and the confidence to take control of their oral health journey beyond their dental appointments.
Why I Left the Traditional Dental World
The traditional "drill, fill, and bill" mindset didn’t align with what patients truly needed. Too often, patients leave an office without a real understanding of how to manage their oral health, relying on what their insurance covers instead of what would actually make a difference.
I wanted more for myself and the people I served. I wanted to create an environment where clients had the knowledge, skills, and support to truly thrive. I imagined a world where families were empowered to take small, actionable steps towards healing between dental visits—not just reacting to problems when they
